History

The third of four Rotterdam-Class (R-Class) cruise ships. 

February 27th 1998: Keel laid.

September 18th 1998: Launched.

October 25th 1999: Delivered to Holland America Line, Rotterdam, Holland.

November 12th 1999: Christened by former professional tennis player Chris Evert, who became the ship’s godmother.

February 2005: Chartered as a hotelship for the “World Superbowl” final in Jacksonville.
