Steel single screw “Trader 5400” motor vessel built in 2008 by Severnav S.A. Turnu Severin (Hull) Bodewes Scheepswerven BV. Hoogezand. (Completed) (Yard No 692) as a General – Multipurpose ship.

History

May 28th 1998: Building contract.

June 24th 1998: Keel laid.

May 21st 2008: Launched.

November 20th 2008: Delivered as EMSTRANSPORTER to Owner: Unknown. Operator: Feeder Lines B.V.

November 2008: Renamed TIWALA for Owner: MS “Tiwala” GmbH & Co KG. Operator: W. Eicke Schiffahrts KG

January 21st 2012; The Dutch roro ferry PLYCA, while passing the inland port of Brunsbüttel eastbound from Antwerp to Rauma, travelled too fast passed the TOTAL bunker station that strong suction and swell caused movements of the moored TIWALA, causing one of the ship’s bow lines to break. The movement caused considerable damage to the gangway and a shelter. The Water Police Station Brunsbüttel launched an investigation and the master of the PLYCA was fined a pay a guaranteed deposit of 175 Euro.

May 5th 2017: The Turkish ferry SALAVAR was in collision with the TIWALA, which was en-route from Ceuta to Varna. in the Marmara Sea off Marmara island. The ferry was en-route from Bandirma to Tekirdag with 25 vehicles on board. It’s portside forecastle was damaged. No injures were reported. The ferry safely arrived at Tekirdag on May 6th at 5 a.m.

November 2020: Renamed BUGOE for MS ”Tiwalà” GmbH & Co. KG. Manager: F & L Schifffahrt GmbH & Co. KG

April 16th 2021: Collided with a pier while berthing at Pärnu. The ship suffered damage to its bulbous bow in the incident. It left the port again on April 18th at 1.15 a.m., headed to Antwerp, where it arrived on April 21st at 8.50 p.m.
