History

The second of the eight ship “Snow Class” completed at La Ciotat in 1972 – 74. Designed in consultation with United Brands, with which Salen had had a long and intimate trading association, and intended as versatile carriers for any reefer trade, with refrigeration down to minus 25deg C.

1972: Delivered to Saléns Rederiet, Stockholm.

1984: Sold to Salén UK Shipping Management, England and renamed SOUTH VIEW.

2005: In Service Registered owner: Lyford Shipping, Piraeus. Manager: Target Marine SA. Piraeus.

2006: Sold for $356 per lbt or $3.32m for demolition in Chittagong.

August 21st 2008: Arrived at Chittagong, Bangladesh for demolition.
