History

November 1st 2000: Ordered as TIGER MAX for Enterprises Shipping & Trading SA, Athens and acquired by Seatrade Groningen BV

July 22nd 2002: Completed.

August 30th 2002: Delivered as LUZON STRAIT to BV Shipping Co. Luzon Strait, Groningen, managed by Seatrade Groningen BV

“Originally these two ships were not designed according to Seatrade specifications etc. but for another reefer fleet owner. However they failed to take delivery of both vessels obviously due to the drop in the reefer market and the somewhat anxious expectations for the then near future) and it was just at that stage that the vessels were placed for sale on the open market. Seatrade purchased both vessels in a relatively short time span of about 3 months including preliminary and thereafter detailed introduction to the vessels, purchasing negotiations, financing, paper work, inspections, technical trials, delivery etc.”
