  1. I am not sure what it going on but according to marinetraffic she is off Brest and hasn’t moved for over 4 hours. She is also not due in Gibraltar for 6 days, which is a very slow trip if true. I Gogled around and both Magellan and Marco Polo seem slated for scrapping.

    1. Hi Andrew,

I think it’s more than likely they were waiting for a weather window before heading South. The weather in Biscay the last few days has been pretty bad with Westerly and Southerly gales.

From looking at her AIS location at the time it may have been a case of sheltering in the area of Brest. I see she is now well South of Biscay and has just passed Lisbon bound for Gibraltar. I did read somewhere (can’t find the link now) that she was due in Piraeus, Greece until Seajets decide what to do with her.

In regards to Astor, Astoria and Marco Polo, in my personal opinion, I think the future is looking rather bleak 🙁

      All the best
      Ray

      1. Together with Columbus anchored East of Malta. Magellan sowing awaiting orders….. Both had been reported as destination Piraeus when they left Gibraltar

        1. After being anchored east of Malta for a few days together with Columbus she’s now off to Suez…… or maybe Alang
