History

February 1st 2015: Ordered as CELEBRITY BEYOND.

The “Edge Class” is made up of four ships, Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Beyond and the last one, yet to be properly named, called M34. The last two of the series are longer versions of the first two (20 m or 65 ft longer for 168 additional cabins).

July 23rd 2018: Steel cut as CELEBRITY APEX.

October 31st 2018: Keel laying ceremony.

May 17th 2019: Floated out.

January 15th 2020: Trials cancelled owing to bad weather.

January 17th 2020: Trials again cancelled, this time owing to strikes within the dockyard.

February 4th 2020: First sea trials in the Bay of Biscay.

February 8th 2020: Sea trials completed.
