History
Fourth newbuild delivered by Royal Bodewes to Norwegian Shipping Company Aasen Shipping. The first hybrid self-discharger 9400 DWAT out of a series of 4 vessels in total. MV Aasland has a battery pack of 620kWh on board for peak saving and emission-free sailing plus port operations
April 2nd 2025: Keel laid.
October 31st 2025: Launched.
The vessel was towed by the tugboats WATERPOORT and GRUNO IV from the shipyard in Hoogezand to the port of Delfzijl.
February 2nd 2026: Conducted its initial sea trials on the River Ems departing from Delfzijl.
February 3rd 2026: Continued secondary sea trials on the River Ems, sailing out of Eemshaven.
February 6th 2026: Delivered to Owner: Aasen Bulk AS, Mosterhamn. Manager: Aasen Shipping AS, Mosterhamn
February 9th 2026: Departed Eemshaven on its maiden voyage to Bremen, Germany, before loading cargo bound for Hull, UK..
