Steel single screw ”Spaarneborg” motor vessel built in 2000 by Flender Werft AG, Lübeck, Germany (Yard No 677) as a Roll on – Roll off ship.

History

August 25th 1999: Keel struck.

December 17th 1999: Launched.

April 28th 2000: Delivered to UL 677 KS (Wagenborg Shipping), Delfzijl, Holland as SCHIEBORG.

April 29th 2000: Left Lubeck for Zeebrugge.

May 2000: Commenced Cobelfret/ Stora Enso services between Gothenburg – Zeebrugge.

January 9th 2005: Heavy seas in the North Sea and she suffered a fire in trailers on her weather deck. Crew prepared to abandon ship.

January 10th 2005: Taken in tow to Eemshaven.

February 14th 2005: Arrived at BREDO Shipyard, Bremerhaven (SSW yard) for repairs.

June 9th 2005: Trials after repairs.

June 2005: Returned to service.

November 2014: Chartered to SOL for Stora Enso services between Gothenburg – Zeebrugge.

June 17th 2019: Sold to DFDS Seaways Ab, Klaipeda, Lithuania and renamed BELGIA SEAWAYS.

June 2019: Stora Enso services between Gothenburg and Zeebrugge.

November 2020: Services Immingham – Cuxhaven.

July 2021: Refit in Gdansk including new internal ramp and DFDS livery

November 8th 2021: Left Gdansk for Klaipeda

November 11th 2021: Sailed from Klaipeda to Koge.

2022: Services between Santander – Liverpool

June 3rd 2022: Came off service at Santander and sailed to Zeebrugge.

June 5th 2022: Sailed on a single return journey to Santander.

June 10th 2022: Returned to Zeebrugge.

June 11th 2020: Sailed to Vlaardingen/Rotterdam

June 16th 2022: Arrived in Sheerness

June 16th 2022: Sailed to Calais at the beginning of as a 3 week replacement, of BOTNIA SEAWAYS, Calais – Sheerness.

April 7th 2024: Short term lay up in Klaipeda.

May 16th 2024: Left Klaipeda for Rostock.

May 17th 2024: Left Rostock for Alexandroupolis (Greece).

May 28th 2024: Arrived Alexandroupolis.

May 30th 2024: Arrived Tuzla (Turkey).

June 1st 2024: DFDS services Pendik (Tuzla) – Treiste.

July 2024: Services Felixstowe – Vlaardingen, Rotterdam.

August 2024: Services Fredericia – Koge – Klaipeda.

December 8th 2024: Took over a military cargo from FINLANDIA SEAWAYS Husøya to Gdynia.

January 2025: Services Fredericia – Koge – Klaipeda.

January 23rd 2025: Laid up in Klaipeda.

Starting from end May, the vessel will take up a new route which will connect the ports of Vilagarcía (Spain) and Rotterdam

April 10th 2025: Left Klaipeda.

April 13th 2025: Arrived and departed Zeebrugge.

April 29th 2025: Arrived Villagarcia and took up service Villagarcia  – Rotterdam.
