March 31st 1999: Keel struck.

September 30th 1999: Launched as FINNMASTER.

May 31st 2000: Delivered to Nordic Holdings Ltd, London, England for charter to Finnlines Oy.

June 2nd 2000: Left Chinese shipyard for the Baltic.

June 30th 2000: Finncarriers services between Rauma – Hull.

March 13th 2005: Sold to Parline RoRo KS, Norway.

December 14th 2006: En-route from Hull – Helsinki suffered engine problems and went to Visby for repairs.

December 15th 2006: Resumed the journey to Helsinki.

March 17th 2008: Sold to DFDS Tor Line for delivery in 2009.

October 7th 2008: Broke down in the Kiel Canal. 

October 8th 2008: Towed to Holtenau, Kiel for repairs.

January 22nd 2009: Taken over by DFDS Tor Line and registered to Tor Botnia Shipping Ltd, Limassol, Cyprus. Renamed TOR BOTNIA.

January 25th 2009: Left Kiel for Rotterdam.

January 26th 2009: Services Rotterdam – Immingham.

2017 (Early): Commenced services between Marseille – La Goulette  (Tunisia)

November 23rd 2017: “At Rades port area, Republic of Tunisia, while discharging containers from the weather deck of berthed ship BOTNIA SEAWAYS a crewman was crushed between trailers on the weather deck. He was seriously injured and later died in hospital. No damage to ship and environment was sustained.”

April 16th 2018: Suffered a main engine failure that caused serious structural damage to the engine and a fire in the engine room.

August 16th 2018 – August 25th 2018: Taken out of service and had all of her main engine connecting rods replaced. During the initial inspection of the small ends, the attending LR surveyor identified heat marks on the inner edge of one of the small ends. MAN specialists examined the marks and concluded that they were not caused during engine operation. MAN’s assessment was that the localised heat marks had been caused by the application of intensive heat from something like a gas welding torch.”.

August 26th 2018: Resumed service Marseille – La Goulette.

August 9th 2021: Came off service at Marseilles and sailed to Klaipeda.

September 2021: Resumed service Klaipeda – Kiel – Karlshamn.

February 7th 2022: Announcement made that the suspended unaccompanied Calais – Sheerness would resume using BOTNIA SEAWAYS.

March 7th 2022: Came off service at Karlshamn and sailed to Sheerness.

March 10th 2022: Arrived in Sheerness for berthing trials.

March 11th 2022: Sailed to Calais for berthing trials.

March 14th 2022: Maiden commercial sailing Calais – Sheerness.

June 16th 2022: Came off service at Sheerness and sailed to London Anchorage.

June 1th 2022: Arrived in Rotterdam.

June 19th 2022: Arrived in Tananger (Norway) the conducted limited round trips Rotterdam – Tanager – Sunndalsora – Rotterdam.

July 6th 2022: Arrived Sheerness and took up service Sheerness – Calais.

March 6th 2023: Came off service at Calais and sailed to Dunkerque (East).

March 6th 2023: Arrived Damen Yard, Dunkerque.

May 17th 2023: Came off service and sailed to Vlaardingen, The Netherlands.

May 19th 2023: Left Vlaardingen and sailed to Felixstowe.

May 20th 2023: Continued Felixstowe – Vlaardingen.

June 2nd 2023: Came off service at Vlaardingen and sailed to Sheerness.

June 3rd 2023: Arrived Sheerness and resumed service Sheerness – Calais (Freight Only).

June 16th 2023: Announcement:

DFDS has announced that it will be launching a new unaccompanied freight service from Tilbury to Calais, replacing its existing Sheerness – Calais service.

The newly located service will start in late June 2023 and will offer one daily sailing in each direction six days a week. The dedicated Tilbury – Calais service will be operated by the BOTNIA SEAWAYS ship, with space for 115 unaccompanied units.

October 16th 2023: Refit complete, sailed from Gdansk to Calais.

October 19th 2023: Arrived Calais.

February 25th 2024: Came off service at Klaipeda and sailed to Gothenburg.

February 27th 2024: Arrived Gothenburg.

February 28th 2024: Took up services Gothenburg – Immingham.
