History

January 12th 1981: Keel laid.

August 28th 1981: Launched

September 24th 1981: Before the vessel could leave her builders, the shipping channel connecting Makkum to the IJsselmeer had to be partially dredged

October 2nd 1981: Delivered as DUKE OF NORFOLK (II), at a cost of ƒ22 million, to Norfolk Line B.V. Scheveningen, Holland.

October 2nd 1981: Sea trials.

October 3rd 1981: Commenced service for Norfolk Line between Scheveningen – Norfolk.

August 2008: Sold to Tam Denizcilik Liman, Istanbul, Turkey and renamed ERDEMLER 8.

April 2013: Sold to Gunesli Denizcilik Iletisim, Istanbul, Turkey and renamed GÜNEŞLI.

January 31st 2015: Dragged her anchor on Bandirma Roads in the Marmara Sea. Drifted ashore in Tatlisu

February 5th 2017: Arrived Ege GS, Aliaga, Turkey for breaking. 

February 8th 2017: Beached.
