Corsica Ferries – Sardinia Ferries (Corsica Ferries France SAS) – (Forship SpA), is a French-Italian based company that operates ferry routes to and from the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Elba. (Corsica: Nice – Ajaccio, Nice – Bastia, Nice – L’Île-Rousse, Toulon – Ajaccio, Toulon – Bastia, Toulon – L’Ile-Rousse, Vado Ligure – Bastia, Vado Ligure – Calvi, Livorno – Bastia, Sardinia: Golfo Aranci – Livorno, Elba: Piombino – Portoferraio).
The company commenced services in 1967 under the name of Corsica Line. Since the company’s humble beginnings with one ship it has grown into the market leader to Corsica and Sardinia. Today the company transports more than 1 million passengers annually aboard their ferries running to and from France and Italy to Corsica, Sardinia and Elba. Thanks to its ‘no-frills’ economical model, the company represents today 60% of the maritime traffic to Corsica.
