1973: Ordered by GT-Ruten A/S, Gedser, Denmark for delivery in 1975.
1974: During construction contract take over by Rederi Ab Nordö.
July 11th 1974: Launched.
January 31st 1975: Delivered to Rederi Ab Nordö, Malmo.
February 7th 1975: Services Gedser – Travemunde.

April 1975: Chartered to NATO for a single trip Denmark – Bornholm.
April 1975: Chartered to Brittany Ferries, Morlaix, France and renamed PRINCE DE BRETAGNE.
April 1975 – October 1975: Services Plymouth – Roscoff.

February 1977: Arrived at Öresundsvarvet Landskrona to be lengthened by 21 metres.
February 16th 1977: Whilst in the floating dock the intention was to separate the vessel into two halves, tow the forward section out of the dock, insert a mid section, and then weld all sections together. However having been cut into two the forward section toppled over. Pontoon cranes and she was righted.
