History

November 3rd 2016: Contract date.

February 2nd 2018: Keel laid.

January 16th 2019: Launched.

September 5th 2019: First sea trials.

November 15th 2019: Delivered to Stena RoRo Ab, Gothenburg.

November 2019: Registered to Jiafu International Ship lease (care of Stena Line), Holyhead, UK. Management Stena Line Ltd.

November 22nd 2019: Left Weihai for Europe via Singapore – Suez.

December 22nd 2019: Arrived Dublin. Upon arrival repairs were carried after it was found that 20 – 30 windows were leaking. Seals were relaced prior to maiden voyage.

January 13th 2020: Services between Dublin – Holyhead.

May 2nd 2020: Came off service and sailed from Holyhead to Cairnryan.

May 3rd 2020: Arrived Cairnryan where repairs were carried out on one of her four engines.

June 15th 2020: Resumed services between Holyhead – Dublin.

September 10th 2020 – October 2020: Services between Belfast – Cairnryan.

February 2nd 2021: Services Rosslare – Cherbourg.

May 24th 2021: Came off service at Rosslare  and sailed to Holyhead.

May 24th 2021: Resumed Holyhead – Dublin.

June 26th 2021: Maiden Holyhead – Belfast sailing. 

October 26th 2021: Arrived at Belfast dry dock from Dublin.

October 31st 2021: Departed Belfast dry dock for Holyhead and resumed services Holyhead Dublin.

March 29th 2022: Services Rosslare – Cherbourg.

October 31st 2022: To Harland and Wolff, Belfast.

June 23rd 2023: Suffered “technical problems” in Dublin.

June 24th 2023: Sailed from Dublin to Birkenhead for repairs/refit

June 25th 2023: Arrived Birkenhead Drydock 5.

July 9th 2023: Refit completed, sailed to Holyhead to resume service Holyhead – Dublin..

September 4th 2023: Came off service at Holyhead and sailed to Loch Ryan.

September 5th 2023: Service Loch Ryan – Belfast as relief for STENA SUPERFAST VII.

September 10th 2023: Came off service at Loch Ryan and sailed to Holyhead.

September 11th 2023: Resumed service Holyhead – Dublin.

January 7th 2024: Came off service at Holyhead and sailed to Birkenhead to act as refit cover for STENA EDDA and STENA EMBLA.

February 22nd 2024: Came off service at Birkenhead and sailed to Belfast.

February 22nd 2024: Took up service Belfast – Loch Ryan as relief cover for STENA SUPERFAST VII and then STENA SUPERFAST VIII.

February 26th 2024: Sailing cancelled. Shifted to D1 South berth under tug assistance.

February 27th 2024: Returned to service and made up time by 01/03/2024.

March 1st 2024: Came off service at Belfast and sailed to Holyhead.

March 2nd 2024: Took up service Holyhead – Dublin (relief for STENA ADVENTURER).
