June 6th 1928: Launched
June 21st 1928: Completed for Southern Railway as WOOTTON, at a cost of £17,300. Services Portsmouth – Fishbourne.

1939 – 1945: During World Wat II, remained on station, except for appearing at the Dunkirk evacuation, for which, together with FISHBOURNE, they were fitted with concrete “umbrellas”.
1948: To British Transport Commission.

September 21st 1962: Went to Southampton and laid up.
1962: Sold to Pounds Shipbreakers then resold to Dutch shipbreakers, Maasluis.
May 31st 1962: Left Portsmouth in tow of tug HAZELGARTH.
1962: Broken up
