History

2004: Launched for American Classic Voyages as CAPE COD LIGHT. Designed to cruise the U.S. East Coast, Maritime Canada and into the St. Lawrence River and Seaway, as well as Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico and Panama in the winter.

April 2004 – October 2004: Cruises for Delta Queen Coastal Voyages.

October 2004: American Classic Voyages filed for bankruptcy.

December 1st 2004: Registered Owner; HMS Global Maritime Inc

September 2007: COASTAL QUEEN 2 Repossessed by the shipyard and eventually sold to International Shipping Partners and renamed.

March 2009: Registered Owner; Discoverer Owner LLC. Renamed CLIPPER DISCOVERY.

September 1st 2009: Registered Owner; Delta Queen Steamboat Co. Inc.

November 2009: Renamed COASTAL QUEEN 2.

2011: Registered Owner; Clipper Cruises, Miami.

Laid up at Tilbury and then used as an accommodation ship, at Lerwick, Emden and others, for wind-farm workers.
