History
“Although basically the same platform and layout as the “Vista” series of ships (Examples: ARCADIA, CARNIVAL LEGEND, COSTA ATLANTICA, COSTA LUMINOSA, COSTA MEDITERRANEA and OOSTERDAM) the Cunard versions QUEEN ELIZABETH (slightly longer than QUEEN VICTORIA) have an additional passenger deck, a specifically strengthened hull lengthened by 11 metres and a much modified interior layout”
October 2007: Ordered.
July2nd 2009: Keel struck.
January 5th 2010: Launched.
September 2010: Sea trials.
September 30th 2010: Completed and to Cunard Line, Ltd, Southampton, England. (Owner: Carnival, Santa Clarita, Miami FL. U.S.A.).
October 8th 2010: Arrived in Southampton.
October 11th 2010: Christened HRH Queen Elizabeth II in Southampton.
October 12th 2010: Maiden cruise.

May 23rd 2019: Began regular service between Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and various destinations in Alaska, United States.
February 2020: The early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cunard altered her 2020 itinerary. Scheduled sailings to Japan were cancelled, and a new collection of Australian voyages were released on 21st February. However these voyages were also cancelled.
March 2020: Berthed in Sydney at the end of a Tasmanian voyage.
March 2020: After a brief period of layup off the Queensland coast, the ship sailed for the Philippines. This relocation was due largely to the Australian cruise ban, which prohibited foreign flagged cruise ships from entering Australian ports.
The ship remained at layup off Manila Bay.
July 2020: Sailed back to Southampton, via the Suez Canal.
July 2020: Laid up at anchorage points off the southern coast of the UK.
June 17th 2021: Due at Dover.
