It was Supposed to be Sunny – Dover 15/04/2013

Introduction

Well I was looking forward to a bit of this long promised sunshine today. It was lovely when I left home, I made it to the seafront, all good, climbed up the cliff path and for 15 mins it was sunny.

It then got very overcast/grey and murky so I took a few more pictures then headed home. Within an hour of getting home the sun was out again, typical…. Due to the overcast skies this album is a bit of a mixed bag but overall I am happy with the results. I am definitely still finding my way with this DSLR and it’s apparent that I really need to get a lens hood for the 70-300mm lens for strong lighting conditions.

The port was quite busy with multiple ferry movements through Eastern and due to congestion the NPC took Western. The jack up barge `Haven Seaway’ was being repositioned at berth 6 by the `DHB Dauntless’ and the bunker vessel `Cap Majean’ (covering for the ports regular bunker barge the `Coralwater’) was observed departing Eastern.

I have also produced two panoramic images of the Eastern Docks taken from the cliff path, they are quite wide so may take a few seconds to load.
