History

December 16th 2004: Keel laid.

March 2nd 2007: Completed as RICHELIEU for Owner Westeel Briese Schiffahrts (c/o Briesse Shipping). Manager: Briesse Shipping BV

Aug 20th 2011: 

“The ice breaker STETTIN, ran into her stern when about to moor in the northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbuettel. While the icebreaker suffered only little damage, the stern of the RICHELIEU was dented. The ship which had departed from Hamburg in the morning and was bound for Kaliningrad berthed at the railway pilings in Brunsbuettel for investigations which lasted until 7.30 p.m. The STETTIN which was coming from Hamburg and was bound for Rendsberg was allowed to continue its voyage one hour after the accident. At 6.40 p.m. it safely berthed in Rendsberg.”
