History

March 6th 1971: Launched.

November 20th 1971: Trials.

December 14th 1971: Christened in Oslo.

January 4th 1972: Delivered. Cruising between New York and Hamilton under the management of Flagship Cruises.

September 1972: Taken over by Fearnley & Eger, Oslo having been previously under the joint ownership of Lorentzen and Fearnley & Eger. Renamed ISLAND PRINCESSCruising from US ports.

August 1974: Sold to P&O Line, London. Continued cruising from US ports.

1986: Transferred to Princess Cruises, London.

May 1999: Sold to Hyundai Merchant Marine Co, Panama and renamed HYUNDAI PUNGAK.

2001: Sold to Fiducia Shipping Co. S.A., Panama and renamed PLATINUM.

2002: Renamed DISCOVERY.
