History

November 1989: Ordered as one of four “S” Class .

December 12th 1992: Launched.

October 3rd 1993: Delivered to Holland America Line Westours, Nassau, Bahamas.

December 17th 1993: Maiden cruise from Port Everglades to St Thomas.

1996: Registered in the Dutch ships register with home port as Rotterdam.

2006: Refit at Grand Bahama Shipyard, Freeport, Bahamas.

March 9th 2020: With 842 guests and 542 crew members on board, the ship was barred from disembarkation in Honolulu, Hawaii due to fears surrounding COVID -19. The ship was allowed to take on appropriate provisions and supplies, however, and began a return journey to the Port of San Diego for debarkation.

June 2020: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Holland America suspended its cruise operations through and sailings aboard the vessel were cancelled

July 2020: Sold en-bloc with the  RYNDAM to Seajets Catanaran JV, Piraeus for transfer in August 2020.

July 7th 2020: Arrived at Limassol anchorage

August 22nd 2020: Arrived at Piraeus and handed over to Mediteranean Majesty Inc.

August 23rd 2022: Sold to CFC (Compagnie Francaise De Croisieres) 30 million US dollar and  has now been renamed RENAISSANCE

October  7th 2022: Arrived in Brest for remodelling for her new owners.

June 28th 2023: Christened by French actress Anne Parillaud in Le Havre.
