Bore

Bore Ltd is a modern international shipping business which can trace its history back until 1987. The company specialises in the RoRo charter business.

The Bore Steamship Company was founded in 1897. It’s first ship S/S Bore, built for year around traffic between Turku and Stockholm, was delivered in 1898.

In 2016 Bore was acquired by the Spliethoff Group. The group is one of the largest ship management companies in the Netherlands. With nearly a century of maritime experience, the Amsterdam headquartered Group has a broad portfolio of specialised services in sectors including dry cargo, breakbulk and project cargo (Spliethoff), project and heavy lifts (BigLift Shipping), container and Ro-Ro cargo and door-to-door services (Transfennica and Transfennica Logistics), shortsea (Wijnne Barends) and yacht transport (Sevenstar Yacht Transport).
